Guess what? I don’t have it all figured out…but in every moment I am successfully growing into the person I choose to be!
The cardinal comparison we make about those around us based on what we see and hear, opposed to know. Sure if we take a moment zooming through social media pictures we can say that it “looks” like many people have it all together; for the most part anyways, people aren’t sharing the downfalls, struggles, challenges, obstacles of the day… we highlight the great inspiring moments of our day and leave the short comings as a distant memory. That is the digital world, and while it is significant part of our lives, it’s NOT our life.
Sharing the great moments are important, uplifting to see, they are real, but not the whole picture- no one every has it all figured out. We are all travelling a path, one we choose and on that path we trip, fall, and scrape our knees. Hate, anger, fear, self doubt, anxiety, stress, depression… it’s different for everyone, but I feel it is safe fair say that we can all connect on this path having felt these emotions at one point. A moment of recognition like this is a success to be celebrated. We are not alone unless we choose to be.
I am not an “image,” as much as you are not. I have emotions and feelings and they are real, as real as energy can be. My parents would always encourage me to deal with things that arise because they don’t just disappear. I could say I wish I had listen to these words of wisdom back then, but that time has come and gone; it is never too late when we honour the present moment, and that is where success is found. This is where I stand today. I am on my way but, not there yet, and that is okay.
We need to come to a point where we understand ourselves as individuals outside of all the external forces that try to define us. While we are incredibly swamped by what it means to be an authentic person, we end up losing our truest self trying to define ourselves in these carved out spaces. What’s your label? Do you know who you are besides what you’ve been told? – I am asking you this because I am constantly having to ask myself this question. Especially in the quiet moments; when my mind is most loud, over analyzing; and thinking… so much thinking!
Being able to recognize this is where my learning has grown. I am growing into a place where I am conscious of my thoughts and how they affect my Truth and Power. I gather them as they are and choose to listen only as much as they are guiding me to a new place of understanding. These are the feeling my parents told me about. Tucking them away never served me, as that choice brought me to dark places and losing myself. Being vulnerable is hard, but I know it’s courageous, and beautiful. I want to understand vulnerability as a place of growth, as uncomfortable as it is; these are the moments where I want to plant my deepest seeds!
Having this vulnerable conversation is growth, (marked by the space we shared with a gigantic smile and this room filled with the most beautiful and uplifting energy). This moment is real, this conversation is real. This moment is my success.
Truth is, I’ve been successful many times. I define my success in moments and not by an overall achievement. I would like to live and enjoy my life in such a way that each moment I choose to be present, and happy. There is no “final” goal so to speak. It’s knowing that I am being truly who I am meant to be, without a label, without being defined. Me. Saverina.
She, ME… is beautiful, kind and loving. I like my time to myself and I cherish those moments deeply. I work hard, but hardly work because I choose to do the things I love. I respect a challenge and learning to grow thorough them. I’ve learned that I don’t need to do things I do not want to. Saying “no” or “yes” is a choice and I have the power to choose either. I meet people where they are, and love them for who they are. Today when I smile, I know it’s a really deep and loving smile that radiates from within!
And… I don’t have it all together, I am still figuring it out. The beauty is we aren’t supposed to know, but I will rest assured that the opportunities that are meant for me will find me where I am. For now, I will continue along this path enjoying success in every moment.
SHE is a beautiful beam of light whose truth and softness radiated throughout the room. Thank you for sharing space and for your vulnerability today. Your EXCELLENCE is your desire to find success in every moment. As you continue along this path may you continue to gather your seeds of success and deeply root them in each moment that passes.
